Kanielle Rubino was born and raised in Paonia, Colorado and has recently chosen Cedar City, Utah to call home. Growing up, Kanielle was inspired by unlimited forests, mountains, streams, wildlife, and moody weather for her subject matter. Through a mix of impressionist and realistic styles, she seeks to evoke moods that she’s found in distant storms, quiet fields, and deep forests. Animals, portraits, and character design are also fond subjects for her pencil drawings, pen and ink drawings, acrylics, pastels, and watercolors.
Professionally, Kanielle is currently designing for the Social Artworking division of DecoArt and has created numerous Best Sellers in their line of instructional paintings. In the past, she has painted murals for Paonia Middle School, stage sets for Paonia High School’s Drama and Choir programs, custom work for Melody’s Makings and other designs for small businesses in Colorado. She has also been featured in Young Artist and Local Artist exhibits at The Creamery Arts Center in Hotchkiss, Colorado and the Glennie-Coombe Art Gallery in Paonia, Colorado. Ready to delve into the community here in Cedar City, Kanielle is excited to meet new people at the A,E & D Studio and help them hear their own artistic voice.
